Tension In Abeokuta As OOU Students Protest


Information Reaching SAB has it that Students of the Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago Iwoye, will today march to the Governor’s office at Oke Mosan to protest the increase in tuition fees of the institution.

Presently, the students are gathered at MKO Abiola stadium, in Kuto where they will later move to the office of the Governor of the state, Ibikunle Amosun.

Meanwhile, students of the Moshood Abiola Polytechnic will also today march to the Governor’s office to thank him for the reduction of their tuition fees.

A credible source at Abeokuta, Tayo Awe, said that Police are already shooting into the air to scare away the protesters and he fears there may a heavy clash between the students of both institutions.
