2015 Elections: PDP endorse Jonathan

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) at its 66th National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting held in Abuja today unanimously endorsed President Goodluck Jonathan as the sole presidential candidate of the party for the February 2015 presidential election.

The NEC in session  kicked off at about 12.30pm when the President arrived and  saw the Niger state governor, Babangida Aliyu presenting the resolution of the PDP Governors’   in adopting  the President  as the sole presidential candidate of the party. This was unanimous as there was no opposition.

Speaking on behalf of BoT, the former deputy national chairman of PDP and a member of NEC, Alhaji Shuaibu Oyedokun also briefed the NEC that the Board of Trustees of the party has also adopted President Jonathan as the sole presidential candidate for the 2015 presidential election
