Police Foiled Robbery Attacks, Recovered Locally Made Arms



The Nigeria Police Force, on 08.09.2014 at about 10:30am, upon information Police patrol team attached to Aguda Division intercepted a group of men at Angel Private School along Nnobi Street Aguda and upon a search one locally-made Pistol was recovered from one of the suspects while others fled the scene. 

According to the Police weekly report, the Suspects laid siege at the area waiting to rob a particular female victim. One suspect was arrested and taken into custody while efforts to apprehend other gang members are being intensified. The case is being investigated by the State CID, Panti.
In another related development, on 11.09.2014 at about 05:30AM, Police received A DISTRESS CALL of armed robbery attack on commuters along Sabongida Ora/Iruekpen Road in Edo state. Police patrol teams were immediately dispatched to the scene where the hoodlums were met in the act. There was a shootout during which two of the suspects (male) were fatally injured while other gang members fled into the nearby forest with gunshot wounds. One cut-to-size locally-made single barrel gun was recovered from the deceased suspects.

All victims were safely rescued; cash sum of money, mobile phones and other items earlier snatched from the victims were all recovered from the scene. Corpses of deceased suspects were removed and deposited at the mortuary while efforts to apprehend other gang members are been intensified by the State CID, Benin.
