Chikwe's Comments on Abducted Girls Insensitive- APC

The All Progressives Congress has said it is stupified by the comment credited to PDP's National Women Leader, Kema Chikwe in which she expressed doubts over the abduction of over 200 school girls from Chibok in Borno State.

In a statement issued in Lagos by its Interim National Publicity Secretary, Alhaji Lai Muhammed, the party expressed concern that such an insensitive statement could be made by a woman, a mother, a grandmother and a top official of the ruling PDP over an issue that is undoubtedly the worst tragedy and biggest embarassment to Nigeria.

Last week, during a prayer session held for National security at PDP's National Secretariat in Abuja, Mrs. Chikwe said there were many unanswered questions concerning the abduction. Towards obtaining answers, she demanded for the release of the names and photographs of the abducted girls by the Principal of the school.

She tabled her controversial queries the same day many indigenes of Chibok and anguished mothers staged a public protest in Abuja demanding for the immediate return of the abducted girls.
