The Adamawa State police command has on Friday
arraigned a pregnant women, Mrs Chinwedu Mbogu, 21years old, who
stole a one day old baby from Mayo-Belwa cottage hospital in Adamawa and
took the baby to Aba in Abia State, ThisDay Newspaper reports.
The Commissioner of Police, John Abakasanga in-charge of the command in the state, while arraigning the suspect along with other suspects of other crimes before Journalists in Yola, said Mbogu conspired with one Friday Ugwochuku, to steal the baby to Abia state.
He said the suspects were trailed to Abia state where the police arrested Mbogu with the baby and brought back to Yola, adding that the recovered baby has been reconciled to her parents while Ugwochuku is still at large.
