FAYOSE'S VICTORY: A WAKE UP CALL FOR APC

When the People’s Democratic Party candidate in Ekiti State, Fayose defeated the incumbent governor of the state, Fayemi, in the just concluded governorship election, APC knew they couldn’t just sit and do nothing as the political tide could turn anytime against them.

It was not surprising when Fayemi's neighbour and governor of Osun state, Rauf Aregbesola, held meetings with the Executives of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) and promised to return over the schools his government had merged to the owners. Why won't he do such? Election is around the corner and he's trying to block all loopholes.

In Ogun state, Amosun has approved the payment of gratuity to pensioners who have retired from the Public Service. Election time is fast approaching and there are lessons to be learnt from Ekiti state.

A reliable source at the Lagos State Government House (Alausa) has it that the state government is considering alternatives for banned okada riders in Lagos state. Thanks to Fayose.

As it is common saying now, ‘stomach infrastructure’ is what the people really need. Let APC take a clue from events at Ekiti state before it is too late.
