Last night, a chemistry building under construction set alight on the University of Nottingham Campus, Metro UK reported.
No one
was injured and the fire did not spread to any other buildings on the
University Park campus which is located on the outskirts of Nottingham.
The building cost millions of pounds and was partially funded by a £12 million grant from pharmaceutical giant, GlaxoSmithKline.

The
timber-framed building was expected to be completed next year.
Nottinghamshire
Fire and Rescue attended the scene and 60 fire-fighters were
involved getting the fire under control.
According
to the Fire service spokesperson the building was ‘about 70 per cent complete’
and the fire-fighters can only discover what caused the
inferno once ‘the fire is entirely out.’
An
open day for prospective students is expected go ahead today as planned
according to the University’s registrar, Dr Paul Greatrix.
