A
burglar, Dion Davis, 29, was on Thursday arrested taking a nap in the house he
was robbing, only to be woken up by police officers who took him away.
According
to Metro UK, he was discovered by a cleaning lady on Monday who immediately
called the police, who arrived to find Davis still fast asleep on the bed and
clutching a bag of stolen jewellery in his hand.
The
officers in Sarasota County, Florida made sure they got some photos of
Davis for evidence (and presumably for some LOLs as well) before waking him up
and placing him under arrest.
‘He was
passed out with a bag full of stolen jewellery next to him on the bed and
didn’t even notice the deputies taking pictures,’ a police spokesman said.
Sarasota
County Sheriff’s Office posted the image of Davis asleep on his victim’s bed to
their Facebook page where it has received several comments.
He has
been charged with burglary of an unoccupied dwelling.
