Seventeen-year-old boy raped in early morning park attack

A teenage boy was knocked to the ground by two men then raped in a park in a horrifying early morning attack.
The 17-year-old was walking through Buile Hill Park in Pendleton, Salford, when he was jumped by the pair at 12.50am this morning.

One man approached him from behind and another from the front, before pushing him to the floor. He was then raped.

The men, described as white and in their late twenties, were both wearing shorts and hoodies with the hoods up. One of them had blonde hair and was wearing glasses.

Police have launched an appeal for information and have deployed extra patrols to Buile Hill Park.
Officers also warned the public to be vigilant when walking through the area.

DCI Clare Devlin said: “This is a very serious incident which we are actively investigating. The boy is obviously extremely distressed, having been subject to a vicious attack, and we are doing all we can to support him.

“There will be extra police patrols in the area of Buile Hill Park in order to reassure the public and I am appealing for witnesses to come forward.

“If you believe that you may have any information that could assist the investigation or lead to the identification and arrest of the persons responsible, please contact us.

“In the meantime, I would urge people to take extra care, remain vigilant and be aware of their surroundings.Culled
