A British
woman dubbed ‘the world’s most dangerous female terrorist’ has been shot dead
in Ukraine by a Russian sniper, it has been claimed.
According
to Metro UK, Samantha Lewthwaite, known as the ‘White Widow’, was one
of Britain’s most wanted people and has been implicated in atrocities in Africa
and the Middle East.
But Moscow
news agency Regnum has claimed the 30-year-old was shot and killed by a Russian
sniper two weeks ago in Ukraine, where she was allegedly fighting for volunteer
battalion Aidar.
‘One of
the world’s most wanted terrorists Samantha Lewthwaite who fought as part of a
Ukrainian battalion has been killed by a volunteer sniper,’ said the news
agency report.
‘The
Russian sniper who killed the British terrorist now has a price of nearly one
million dollars on his head from Ukrainian special services.’
Lewthwaite,
a former soldier’s daughter, was married to 7/7 bomber Germaine Lindsay, and
allegedly left Britain in 2009 for Africa, where she was accused of helping
kill three people and injure 25 in a grenade attack.
She was
reported last month as fighting for Isis terrorists in Syria, where she was
allegedly training a special team of female suicide bombers.
Lewthwaite,
who was born in Northern Ireland, had initially been viewed as the innocent
wife of a suicide bomber but was later seen as one of the world’s most
dangerous terrorists.
