Typhoon causes TransAsia plane to crash, Killing 47 on board



Dozens are feared dead after a plane crashed in Taiwan when it was forced to attempt an emergency landing during a typhoon.

The flight, operated by Taiwanese airline TransAsia Airways, reportedly crashed with four flight crew and more than 50 passengers on board at the end of the journey from the capital Taipei to Magong, a small island off the east coast of mainland Taiwan.

47 people have been confirmed dead while 11 sustained varying degrees of injuries.
Taiwan had been battered by Typhoon Matmo today and the Central Weather Bureau put out warnings of heavy rain through the evening
